GALILEO MBOs AND HITS THE CITY

Following a successful 2008 and 2009, Galileo is proud to announce a Management Buyout from Jungle Group, owner of 3 Monkeys Communications. David Jones (ex divisional MD, WAI) and Ed Lecky-Thompson (ex Head of Digital, HS&P; ex Director of Technology, Dare) will act as equal partners in the newly independent business, with responsibility for Business Development and Commercial Operations respectively. David Wade, former 3 Monkeys, Hanover Communications and iD Live Brand Experience Financial Director has also joined the Board.

Galileo is defying Britain’s ongoing recession and in a period of sustained growth – so much so that simultaneously with the MBO the team has moved into new premises adjacent to the Bank of England in the City of London. Having doubled in size in the past three months, Galileo’s new studio will support all of the agency’s UK and European integrated marketing communications clients, which now include eBay, MTV, Thomson Local, Hastings Direct, Harper Collins and a major international Private Bank.

Plans for 2010 are equally ambitious; as the recession eases the agency is expecting to double in size once more and increase its roster of clients from thirty to fifty, whilst remaining independently owned and operated by its shareholders.
