SPRING HAS SPRUNG, AND SO HAVE WE
18/05/10

Galileo’s growth in 2010 continues unabated, and nothing seems more appropriate in the spring than to deliver a couple of our own new born lambs in the shape of Annelie Karlsson, senior ASP.NET software engineer, and Justen Doherty, who joins to head up open source (J2EE, ROR, PHP and PERL) development. Both are formerly of the client side mould; Annelie joins us from Yamaha and Justen from Sega who will surely be sorry to see them go – but their loss is, of course, our gain.

Commenting on the appointments, Ed Lecky-Thompson, Managing Director (Commercial & Operations) remarked:

ED LECKY-THOMPSON

"In these challenging economic times many agencies are making the mistake of battening down the hatches and failing to invest in top talent. At Galileo we see things differently. There’s still plenty of work out there to be won from LEADING brands, but it’s now only going to the best agencies; so we’ll only win it if our walk is as good as our talk. Ensuring we have excellence throughout the business is how we do that, and so I am delighted to be able to announce these appointments.

We will continue to attract best-of-breed personnel across digital account management, creative and technology. Only 1% of CVs we receive ever make it to interview. We’re unapologetic about hiring only the very best. But if Britain’s digital talent is confident enough to approach us, we’ll give them a fair crack at the whip – and if they make the cut, we’ll look after them."

We have exclusive recruitment agency arrangements already in place, so agencies need not get in touch.
